Inductive proximity sensors - XS range
Inductive proximity sensors (formerly known as OsiSense XS) are designed exclusively for detecting metal objects at distances up to 60mm, operating through an oscillator that generates an alternating magnetic field at the sensing face; when a metal object enters this field, induced currents disrupt the oscillation, triggering the output driver to produce either a normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) signal, depending on the sensor type. Available in flush and non-flush (shielded and non-shielded) designs, with short or long body formats, and in PNP or NPN versions, these sensors ensure compatibility with all PLCs and controllers worldwide, and are offered in 2-wire DC, AC, or AC/DC models, making them ideal for use as limit switch alternatives in a variety of industrial applications.
